By Peter Hoffman, Founder & CEO, J Leaders
We’re thrilled to announce our 5th J Leaders Academy cohort! This year’s 25 fellows will embark on a transformative journey of leadership development and community building.
Our fellows aren’t just learning leadership skills; they’re deepening their Jewish identity and building lasting connections. They’re exploring Jewish values, collaborating with diverse peers, and finding ways to make a positive impact on their communities. From tackling antisemitism to addressing pressing social issues, our fellows are empowered to be leaders who make a difference.
Fellows shared with us some of the reasons they applied to the Academy….
- Being Jewish is a huge part of my identity. I wanted to find a program that brings together Jewish professional adults to improve my leadership skills while also building a supportive community.
- I hope to gain real-world insights into leadership through a Jewish lens. I’ve become quite passionate about my Jewish community and look forward to taking the skills I learn with J Leaders into my professional and personal life.
- I want to develop my skills as an empathetic, ethical, Jewish leader.
- I am drawn to this program in particular because I want to ground my social justice leadership in Jewish cultural values.
- I want to connect with folks in my age group who are ambitious, goal-oriented and interested in co-creating a mutually-supportive network.
- I want to hone my leadership skills and bridge the gap between Jewish values and business.
- I’m on a cusp in which I’m stepping into leadership in real ways in my life, but I’m feeling like I may not have the skills to keep it up…. especially in my Jewish life.
- I’m looking for more mentorship and to build relationships with other motivated and skilled Jews — there’s a lot of work for my generation of Jews to do.
- The J Leaders Academy will challenge me by giving me the opportunity to practice and enhance my leadership skills.
We’re pleased to share with you the fellows of the 2024-25 J Leaders Academy cohort.
