Marketing 101 for Technical Founders

With Ken Oestreich

If you are a first-time business founder, with little-or-no formal knowledge of marketing, this interactive workshop is for you.  This workshop focuses on marketing basics for technical founders building new-to-the-market products. It covers a methodical approach to (a) identifying the market category where your product sits, (b) precision ways to find the early buyers you need, and (c) structured ways to communicate and differentiate your product.

This is all framed in a Product-Market Fit (PMF) context – a critical business milestone, as well as a metric that investors demand. You’ll return with a set of tools, templates, and metrics to help ensure that you can also maintain PMF for market traction.

This is for founders who:

  • Need a grasp of B2B marketing basics
  • Need a process to bring products to market
  • Require product/market metrics that investors care about
  • Are searching for early/mainstream customers
  • Want guidance on building a great sales or pitch deck

You will get:

  • Guidelines to determine your initial Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
  • Metrics for gauging Product-Market Fit
  • Methods to access early vs mainstream customers
  • AI Tips to assist with market analysis and messaging
  • Connections to other like-minded founders
  • Templates & worksheets
