Connect with Exceptional Jewish Young Professionals
The J Leaders Academy has been specifically designed for Jewish young professionals in their 20s and 30s. The Academy is meaningful, life-changing, impactful and fun. One of the most valuable aspects of this six month program are the life-long friendships developed with other fellows through a variety of engaging and immersive learning activities.
Hear from World-Class Leadership Experts
The Academy curriculum was developed by leadership experts. Fellows engage directly with prominent business and community leaders throughout the program. Fellows will hear personal stories of how they achieved success, and how being a mensch was not an afterthought, but rather an integral reason for their success.
Become a Member of the J Leaders Community
Upon their graduation, Academy fellows are invited to join the J Leaders alumni program. Alumni activities include a one-on-one mentorship with experienced Jewish leaders, mentor roundtables, and community shabbat dinners.
The Best of Both Worlds: In-Person & Virtual
The J Leaders Leadership Academy is a blended learning program that combines cohort-based face-to-face and virtual learning. The 2022-23 J Leaders Academy is a six month program which includes two Shabbaton weekend retreats, an all-day Sunday retreat, and eight virtual sessions. Both retreats will be held at the beautiful Mount Madonna Center, located in the Santa Cruz mountains with a view of the Monterey Bay.
The J leaders Academy program is designed in three cascading phases:
- Fall – Personal Empowerment
- Winter – Building & Leading High Performance Teams
- Spring – Being a Force for Good in an Organization & the World
In designing the J Leaders Academy curriculum, we have been intentional about defining desired outcomes related to professional skill development and Jewish engagement. (outcomes).
Illuminated by Jewish Wisdom
Jewish wisdom and culture are woven into the fabric of the entire J Leaders Academy experience. However you define and express your Jewish identity, you are welcome. The 2022-2023 Silicon Valley cohort will be co-facilitated by Rabbi Hugh Seid-Valencia, Senior Director of Collaborative Leadership and Jewish Engagement at Jewish Silicon Valley. <For More>
Small Groups & Community Impact Projects
The J Leaders’ small groups process uses project-based learning to re-enforce Academy concepts and skills for fellows. Small groups are a critical component of the Academy. Small groups of 4-5 will select their own a community impact project. The small groups do most of their work on their project outside of regular Academy sessions. Small groups will present their capstone presentations as part of the commencement session.

Yale Friend

Michelle Bogen
2020-2021 Academy Fellow“The Academy exceeded my expectations. I was always excited to join meetings.
